Score of 9-12: No unusual hazards. Use normal flight planning. Review personal minimums and operating procedures to ensure that all HAA Standards and FAA Regulations are met.
Score of 13-18: Conditions present a higher than normal risk. Conduct flight planning with extra care and review all elements to identify those risks which could be hazardous. Decide before the flight on alternatives that would reduce risk and take into consideration precautions to be taken during the flight. If your score is reaching the upper limits consider delaying or modifying the flight until conditions improve or risk is reduced.
Level 3 Score of 19-27: An accumulated score in this range is considered a "LEVEL 3", "MUST APPROVE" or "REDUCE RISK" score. Dispatching of aircraft is not allowed unless explicit approval has been issued from the Chief Instructor. Assistant Chief Instructor or Director of Safety. conditions must change, be approved or a new scoring accomplished that reduces the Risk Assessment.
